Maternity sessions with dogs are definitely my new favorite sessions to photograph!! Jessica and Michael were so sweet and so easy to photograph, so when you add in their adorable yellow lab, Brady, it really doesn’t get any better than that! I only wish we had some behind the scenes moments captured because you’d see Michael just out of the frame holding a treat above Jessica’s head to get Brady to look at her stomach!

We spent the last Sunday evening in April together exploring the Seaport and soaking in the amazing views of the Boston skyline. We had a beautiful, overcast day to document such a beautiful time in their lives. And it’s a good thing it didn’t end up raining on us that day, because it turns out that Jess went into labor just a few days after our session! I’m beyond thrilled that we were able capture these last moments of her pregnancy before their adorable baby decided to grace their world with its presence. I guess Brady is no longer the baby of the family, although I’m sure he probably thinks he still is! I’m already envisioning all of the cute pictures we can take at their next family session now that they’re a family of four!

Special thanks to Jessica’s parents who braved the chilly temperatures to help carry bags during their session and most importantly, for their help getting Brady’s attention to look at the camera! I couldn’t have captured Brady’s expressions without their help! Seriously, how cute is he in his bow tie that matches Jess’ dress?! And his adorable plaid scarf! There’s nothing better than accessorized pups.
