A week ago today, my alarm was set for 4:00am and 4:10am and not going to lie, 4:15am and 4:20am. I always set multiple alarms every morning because I tend to be a snooze-er! Once I’m up, I feel so productive and want to crush the day, but it’s the whole initial getting out of bed thing that I hate. But this particular morning, I was so excited because it was the first day of sunshine we’d seen in a slew of rainy days! And let me tell you something, we had the best morning light for photos!!

I always try to recommend sunrise engagement sessions for my couples, especially when they are interested in taking photos in a really popular location. Normally sunrise sessions are not something most of my couples are interested in, but when I suggested it to Steph on the phone just a week before her session, she jumped at the idea! I’m so thrilled that she and Victor are morning people because I. LOVE. ALL. OF. THEIR. PHOTOS!! We had the best morning walking around the Boston Public Gardens and had the entire place to ourselves! Sunrise is so early this time of year (right around 5:30am), so it was perfect for us to go to the best spots in the Public Gardens. After the Public Gardens, we walked over to take a few shots in front of the Taj Boston Hotel where they will be getting married in the fall! Their wedding day was exactly 6 months from their engagement session date. After the Public Gardens, Victor drove us all down to the Seaport so that we could capture a few more portraits with some Boston skyline in the background. Steph and Victor did an outfit change for a more formal option and we finished up their engagement session there!

This couple is so sweet and so cute together! They literally made my job so easy. Plus, they have the best pup, Rajah, who never wanted to leave their side! Rajah was decked out in a beautiful pearl necklace Stephanie bought from Etsy! Big thank you to Stephanie’s mom, Andrea, for all of her help carrying bags and getting Rajah’s attention for photos! It’s always such a huge help having an extra set of hands, most especially when there’s a dog included in the session! Also, if you ever find yourself in North Reading, be sure to check out Victor’s restaurant – Lobster Claw Seafoods. So excited to share some of my favorite images from their downtown Boston engagement session. 🙂
