This shoot is just another reason why I absolutely LOVE sunrise sessions. It’s so hard when your alarm goes off in the morning, but then it’s so worth it once you’re there. Plus, I promise it’s not as bad as you think having your portrait taken that early in the morning! If we didn’t schedule this Walden Pond engagement session at sunrise, we would’ve never seen that GORGEOUS fog coming off the water. That fog made the shoot even more beautiful than it already was!
Lauren and Ryan were both in Erin and Donny’s wedding last May. If you missed their wedding blog post last year, click here to relive the beauty! So when Lauren reached out after they got engaged, I was SO EXCITED! These two are so much fun to hang out with and I had a blast exploring Walden Pond with them and their adorable pup Lily. Their engagement session was definitely Fall engagement session goals. I loved Lauren’s blanket scarf and am a little bit obsessed with the photos of them all wrapped up in it together. The foliage was so pretty in the background of every photo. And let’s be honest, every engagement session that includes a dog is amazing in my book!
I can’t wait to celebrate these two in just a few months! We’ll be trading in that October foliage for gorgeous beach views at Newport Beach House. I’m already counting down the days until we get to do this all over again! In the meantime, scroll to see all of my favorites at Lauren and Ryan’s Walden Pond engagement session at sunrise.
Special shout out to Erin, one of my 2018 brides (who’s now pregnant!!) for getting up so early and being our dog wrangler! We couldn’t have captured such beautiful images without you girl! LDP brides helping other LDP brides makes me so happy!
