Introducing another beautiful family from the spring mini sessions at the Arnold Arboretum! Alice, Derrick, and their adorable english bulldog, Lola! When I first decided that I wanted to hold my spring mini sessions at the Arboretum, I knew on it had to be on Lilac row! I’ve always wanted to get there in the spring to see and smell the beautiful lilacs, so I finally made this year a reality! So as families starting signing up for their time slots, I sent them the meeting location which is a little bit of a walk into the park from the main entrance. I knew this would be a little bit of a challenge because there was potential to get lost or be a little late, so I had my phone on ringer just in case anyone needed to get in touch with me on the day of the sessions. So when Alice arrived at the Arboretum, she texted me saying “they were walking my way, but I’d probably hear them coming”. And I definitely did! Lola was so excited for her photoshoot (or maybe it was because she was in a new place with tons of people and other dogs around), but she was basically dragging Alice and Derrick up the path towards me and grunting the whole way! Lola was such a cutie and was so excited that she definitely had zero interest in sitting still. But, Alice brought a tennis ball and it worked like magic! Lola was so concentrated on that tennis ball that we were able to convince her to pose for pictures! 🙂 Alice and Derrick were so sweet and I loved the images we captured of them together!
