Do you travel?
I LOVE to travel and am always ready for a destination wedding! So far, weddings have led me to Georgia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and all over New England. My passport is ready, so don’t hesitate to reach out!

Do I need a second shooter?
I shoot most weddings with a second shooter and I always recommend it! Having a second shooter allows for more variety of images in your final gallery with more candid moments and more people documented. Having two photographers also allows me to be with the bride while she’s getting ready and the other photographer to be with the groom. Whenever possible, I love having my fabulous fiance Paul of Paul Rutherford Photography as my second shooter. But don’t worry, whenever he’s not available, I have a bunch of other highly talented photographers that work with me!

Do you watermark your images?
You’ll never see a watermark on any of your images! Your final gallery will include high resolution images of you and your celebration so that you can print them for your home!

How will we receive our images?
All of your final images will be delivered via a password protected gallery online. You will receive a download code that is unlimited, so you can share it with all your favorite people. Your gallery also has a professional printing lab that I highly recommend using over printing at a CVS or Wal-Mart.

Do you shoot more than one wedding a day?
Never! Once I’m booked for your date, you and I will be hanging out all day! I don’t make any other plans.

How many images will I receive and how long will it be before we see our images?
On average, I deliver ~75-100 images per hour of wedding day coverage, so the number of hours of coverage you want will dictate how many final images are in your gallery. I always love to post some of my favorites as sneak peeks shortly after the wedding day and then you can expect to receive your full gallery within 6-8 weeks of your wedding day!

What if I've never had professional photos taken or don't feel comfortable in front of a camera?
It’s completely normal to feel nervous and I’ve been there before too. I promise to help make you feel at ease so that you’re never asking, “what do I do with my hands?”. I’ll be there to give you all the posing guidance, tuck away your stray hairs, and stop traffic so we can get the most epic Boston in the middle of the street shot.

Should we do a first look?
That’s a great question and a tough decision! If you’re the type of couple that wants to have a drink with your guests during your cocktail hour, then I would 100% recommend doing a first look. Doing a first look allows you to take all of your family formals, wedding party, and bride and groom portraits before your ceremony. I’m always happy to discuss whether or not a first look is a good fit for you!

Can we customize our wedding collection?
Absolutely! I know that no two wedding days are the same and I am always happy to customize my collections to best fit your photography needs.

What if we want to make wallpaper out of our final images?
I LOVE to hear that! I offer a variety of heirloom products that can make all of your printing dreams come true! After your wedding day, we will set up a time to meet so that you can order products. Most couples invest between $800-$2,000 on products.

Where will the portrait session take place?
I'm a natural light photographer, so all sessions occur outdoors! Boston has so many amazing options for beautiful backdrops and if you need help finding a location, I have plenty of favorite places to suggest. An additional travel fee is required for any location that is not within 10 miles of Boston.

What if my dog is really energetic? Shy? Nervous?
No worries! I have worked with a wide range of dogs from really well-trained dogs to puppies to rescues! In fact, the majority of dogs I work with are not well-trained. During our pre-session phone call, we will discuss any concerns you might have about your session. When it comes to dogs, I have the utmost patience and will never get frustrated during your session. The best way to let your dog's spirit shine through is for you to stay relaxed!

Is there an additional charge for having more than one dog?
All sessions allow for up to two dogs. For each additional dog, there is a fee of $50.

Does my dog have to be off-leash or can we keep them on-leash?
Your dog's safety is always first and foremost, especially if our session is taking place near the busy streets of Boston! Your dog can absolutely remain on-leash throughout the entire session and I will be happy to photoshop the leash from your final images as a complimentary service. However, I do not photoshop collars or harnesses out of photos.

What print products are available?
After your session date is booked, I will send you a print product guide to review before your session. This way, by the time your images are delivered, you'll already know exactly which print products you'd like to order. Most clients invest between $800-$1,500 in heirloom print products after their dog portrait session.

What happens after our session?
After your session, I will edit all of your final images, post sneak peeks on Facebook and Instagram, create a personalized blog post, and deliver a password-protected online gallery where you can download, share, and order prints from a professional printing lab a la carte. You will receive a print release and the rights to your digital images once your gallery is shared. I work very hard to deliver all final galleries within 3-4 weeks after your portrait session!

When is the best time of year to book a portrait session for my pup?
I book dog portait sessions all year (yes even in the snow!), but the Spring and Fall are the busiest times of year and I tend to book out at least a month in advance. Sessions are only scheduled M-Th (an additional fee applies for weekends), so if you’re thinking about scheduling a session during those times of year, please don’t wait to reach out!

Can I be in the photos with my dog?
OF COURSE! In fact, I will insist that you get in some of the shots during your dog’s portrait session! Everyone needs a photo of them giving their pup a kiss!

How do I book?
YAY! I am so excited you want to join the LDP Dog Pack!! Please fill out my inquiry form or send me an email at lauren@laurendobishphotography to tell me all about your pup and we’ll get the process started!

Where are you located?
I am located in Boston, Massachusetts but I frequently travel all over New England for portrait sessions. A travel fee does apply for all sessions outside of 10 miles of Boston. No matter where you want your family session, I am always available to travel.

When and where will we shoot?
I’m a natural light photographer so I schedule sessions right at sunrise or two hours before sunset whenever the light is the prettiest. This is my absolute favorite time of day to shoot, but I’m always happy to work around nap schedules! Sessions can be scheduled at any of your favorite locations - a beach, a park, or a beautiful cityscape! I’m always happy to help suggest location options.

What should we wear?
I love helping my clients choose their outfits! Before your session, I’ll send you a guide with lots of tips and images for outfit inspiration! I also have a Pinterest page for additional inspo and you’re more than welcome to text me your potential outfit combinations too so that I can give you personalized advice!

We love your work and you! How can we book a session?
Yay! I’m so excited to work with you! Fill out my contact form and we’ll get the ball rolling for your portrait session! I require a signed contract and a non-refundable 50% deposit in order to officially reserve your family portrait session date!

What happens if it rains?
New England weather can be so unpredictable! I always reserve a few dates each month for rain dates so we can always reschedule your session to one of those dates. If you’d like to request a rain date when you book your session, we can do that too!

How many images will I receive and how long will it be before we see our images?
On average, I deliver ~40-60 images for a family session. I always love to post some of my favorites from your session as sneak peeks shortly after your session and then you can expect to receive your full gallery within 3-4 weeks the shoot!

Do you watermark your images?
Your images will never be watermarked! Woo!

How will we receive our images?
You will receive an online gallery of all the high resolution images from your session within three weeks of your photoshoot. You can share your gallery with friends and family where they can view your images, download and save, and/or order prints and canvases of your favorites through a professional printing lab.
