Over Thanksgiving vacation, I photographed my first engagement session in my hometown of Chambersburg, PA! I absolutely love whenever I get the chance to bring my camera home and share my passion with the people I grew up with. It’s my dream to be able to come home every year for a few weeks at a time and bring my job with me so that I can not only spend time visiting my wonderful parents, but also continue to run my photography business at the same time! 2017 goals! 🙂

So this particular engagement session was super special to me because Sara and I go wayyyyy back! Our moms have been best friends ever since we were little, so we hung out a lot when we were young! I’ve also had the opportunity to photograph multiple events for Sara’s family, including her twin brother’s wedding and her older sister’s newborn and family pictures last year. And now I am so excited and honored to be photographing Sara’s wedding this coming June 2017!

Sara is so kind and so sweet and because of that, I had a feeling Dex was going to be very similar in that way. And let me tell you, I knew in the first five minutes of Sara and Dex’s engagement session just how perfect of a fit Dex is for Sara! I only met him very briefly once a few months before their engagement session, but when Sara and I met up over the summer to talk about her wedding, she told me all about Dex and how they both knew they were meant to be together from the very beginning. Sara had all these wonderful things to say about Dex and now I know first-hand what an awesome guy Dex truly is! During the whole engagement session, Dex was so adorable to Sara and I could tell every time he looked at her just how much he loves her! I felt like my cheeks hurt at the end of their session because I was smiling the whole time at how in love these two are!

Wilson College turned out to be the perfect place for their engagement session. I was so excited when we were still able to find some beautiful foliage on one of the last days of November! I CANNOT wait until next June for Sara and Dex’s wedding! Here are some of my favorite shots from their session – they’re just so cute together! 🙂
