December has been such a busy month with holiday card photos! I’ve met so many wonderful families in Boston this year and I absolutely loved getting to know this sweet family a few weeks ago! We took Allie, Riley, and Johnny’s family photos all throughout Beacon Hill, starting on Acorn Street and making our way around all the alleys and side streets. I absolutely loved their matching outfits which complimented the beautiful brick and cobblestone streets in Beacon Hill!

When Allie first emailed me, she told me that she wanted to carry on a tradition that both her grandmother and mother had taking pictures of all their children at 1 years old. I was so excited about having the honor to document this important tradition for Allie and Riley and the timing was perfect because it was Johnny’s first birthday the day before our shoot! Johnny was such a little cutie and his smile is just so adorable! I love when his two little front teeth would show through his smile! We even had two sets of strangers, who were walking by during our session, stop and help us make Johnny smile for the photos! One person even stopped with their dog and Johnny’s face lit up so bright! I’m so thankful for the kindness of strangers because now we have these beautiful images of Johnny’s smile!

I love when this job connects me with such sweet, kind people and this family was exactly that! I absolutely loved having the honor of documenting Johnny at this age and helping carry on Allie’s family tradition! I can’t wait for next year’s session when Johnny is walking and talking! Also, I just received their adorable holiday card in mail, which I always appreciate so much when my clients do that! I love this time of year! 🙂 Check out my favorites from their session below!
