There’s nothing I love more than a pup sporting Bates College gear! And Sadie looked so good in that Bates College bandana. Sadie’s owner, Val, and I went to College together. I’m all about Bates pride, so I was so excited that she brought the Bates bandana with her to the shoot. I loved photographing the beautiful Sadie pup in the Arnold Arboretum this summer during my dog days of summer mini sessions. I had so much fun at these mini sessions that I think I’m going to offer them annually!
For the dog days of summer mini sessions, I teamed up with my friend Christina, owner of Tails ‘N Sails. We offered 20 minute mini sessions to clients and gave them their choice of a gorgeous embroidered Tails ‘N Sails scarf. Val chose a nautical themed scarf for Sadie to wear and it looked so good popping off her black fur. It was a hot July day for these sessions. I’m so glad it was too because Sadie looked absolutely adorable with her tongue sticking out of the side of her mouth. Plus, her cute little ears get me every time.
The Arboretum is another one of my favorite places for photos, especially in the summer when everything is in full bloom. I have a few go-to spots but the Arboretum is so big that I love exploring new corners. The botanical garden always has such beautiful flowers in bloom. I also love the stone wall there too. If you haven’t been to the Arboretum, you should definitely spend a day there and explore! You can definitely get lost in the Arnold Arboretum because it’s so big. I’d make a picnic and spend a few hours there seeing all it has to offer! Click here, here, and here to see a few other sessions I’ve shot there in the past! It’s truly such a beautiful space!
