Just under two months until these two tie the knot! Which means it’s the perfect time to share their sunrise engagement session at Halibut Point State Park! Sunrise engagement sessions are my absolute favorite! I’ve never been a morning person – getting to class on time or even getting to my previous jobs on time was always a struggle. BUT for some reason, I am a BIG morning person when it comes to photoshoots at sunrise. I’m up at my first alarm vs. snoozing 10 times (sorry Paul!), I make time to eat breakfast, and I always leave super early so that I get to our location really early too. If you’re a morning person, I can’t recommend sunrise engagement sessions enough. The lighting is always gorgeous and you’ll have the whole place to yourself which means people won’t be watching you, less distractions for your dog, and no one in the background of your photos! I could go on and on about why I love sunrise sessions, but the pictures from this engagement session will prove my point of why sunrise is the BEST time for portraits!
I had so much fun hanging out with Gen, Dan, and their adorable pup Langley this past September! We met up at sunrise (right before Dan left for a bachelor party) and explored all over Halibut State Park, which is one of my favorite engagement session locations. I think I love it so much because I am always obsessed with the photos from this location and this session is no different! Check out this fall engagement session at Halibut Point from two years ago to see more pictures from this gem of a location. Even though it was super windy the morning we met up, we had a beautiful overcast day which was amazing lighting for pictures. Langley looked so perfect in her matching leash and bow tie that looked so good with Gen and Dan’s outfits! These three were so cute together and I can’t wait to do this all over again at The Black Point Inn in May! Counting down the days!
