This Bates College engagement session is my FAVORITE engagement session to date! I haven’t photographed many engagement sessions in Maine during the Fall, but now I’m going to have to start! First of all, photographing an engagement session at my alma mater, Bates College, has always been a dream of mine and if you add the fact that it was for two of my friends who have been dating since freshmen year at Bates – it really doesn’t get much better than this! Or maybe it was so awesome because we ended the evening with a jimbo from the Blue Goose! 🙂

Over Columbus Day weekend, Kelly, Andrew, and I met up at Bates to walk around our old stomping grounds to take their engagement session pictures! We made stops at all the major places including the Quad (which was absolutely gorgeous), Alumni Walk, the Puddle, Parker (which is where Kelly and Andrew lived on the same floor freshman year!), Garcelon Field, and of course, we had to stop and take some photos with the Bobcat. Being back at Bates made me miss it so much!

The foliage was the perfect foliage for their photo backdrop. I had such a blast walking around Bates with these two and I’m excited to share these images! Kelly and Shick, I’m so honored that I get to photograph your wedding and can’t wait until next May! Bates weddings are my favorite and I already know that this will be one that I never forget. 

Also, special thanks to my good friend Caroline who escaped Boston with me for the day to eat oysters in Portland before heading to Bates! Thanks for all your help being the best assistant, holding all their clothes, and taking some awesome behind the scenes shots. Couldn’t have done it without your help!! 🙂
