This Georgia wedding was a FAIRYTALE! I mean, only in the movies do you see the bride and groom arrive to their reception on a horse-drawn carriage! You heard me right, a HORSE-DRAWN CARRIAGE! But Grace and Steve did and it was just as magical as it sounds! From the getting ready all the way through to the reception, Grace and Steve’s day was exactly what wedding dreams are made of! And now, I’m officially a destination wedding photographer! All future brides, if you are getting married outside of New England, I’m available to travel wherever your love will take me and I’m passport-ready. 🙂
I first met Grace way back in high school! She’s my best friend’s little sister and when she asked me to photograph her wedding, my heart was so happy! I love her and her family so much and couldn’t have been more honored to capture her and Steve’s wedding day! I have always heard about how amazing Steve was, so I was so excited to finally meet him and his family and they were just as sweet as I imagined them to be. Both families were so welcoming all weekend and I truly felt like a part of the family by the time I had to fly back to Boston.
These two were married on the most beautiful 70 degree day in May. Grace and Steve had their ceremony at St. Luke’s Church, followed by their reception at the most gorgeous venue I think I’ve ever been to, Neverland Farms. After driving through the woods and down all these windy roads, I finally arrived at Neverland Farms and I was in awe! There were so many beautiful pastures with grazing horses and two big, open barns filled with twinkly lights and stunning decorations – FAIRYTALE! Then when you add in the horse-drawn carriage, the awesome band Hot Sauce, and a sparkler exit, I really think it was a dream come true! And not to mention, the venue itself was a photographer’s dream! Every direction you looked was another beautiful location for portraits and thankfully, their timeline had lots of portrait time built in so that we could get to all those spots and then some!! 🙂
Grace and Steve, thank you so much for letting me capture your day! It was such a joy to be surrounded by the love your family and friends have for you both all weekend! Here are some of my favorite images from my first ever destination wedding!
