One of my favorite things about having this photography business is being able to share my passion with people who have positively impacted my life, especially when I have the opportunity to share it with of my teammates from Bates College! My friend, Chelsea, is exactly one of those people! Chelsea and I were soccer teammates at Bates for two years. So when Chelsea and Ben reached out to me to be their wedding photographer, I was soooo excited and couldn’t wait for their wedding day to come! Chelsea is the absolute sweetest person I have ever met and probably will ever meet (and so is her entire family!! Seriously!). It’s crazy to think how fast time has flown since the last time Chelsea and I put on a Bates soccer uniform and stepped onto the field together. Flash forward 4 years and now Chelsea is married and I was her wedding photographer! It’s so surreal!! I met Ben back when he and Chelsea first started dating and he would come visit Chelsea at Bates. She would bring him to the always crazy soccer parties (bless him for not being scared away after those crazy nights)! Ben is such a nice guy and a perfect match for Chelsea! It is obvious to anyone who spends time with Chelsea and Ben that their love for one another is true and their happiness is contagious!

I’m not even sure where to begin when describing Chelsea and Ben’s wedding day! They had the most perfect ceremony spot tucked away in the woods at Ben’s parents’ house plus a gorgeous barn for dancing! I know that Chelsea and Ben, along with a lot of help from their friends and family, worked hard over the past year to clean up the woods and let me tell you, it was so worth it! Chelsea had described the location to me over the phone multiple times, but it was even more breathtaking in person!! It was honestly the most enchanting ceremony spot I’ve ever been to. I am in love with how the pictures came out!! Plus, Chelsea made the most gorgeous bride! Her dress was stunning and Yvonne and Sarah did such a wonderful job on her hair and makeup! I could’ve stayed in the woods taking pictures all day!

The second half of Chelsea and Ben’s wedding day was just as amazing as the first half! The wood fired pizza was so delicious and did I mention we got to eat the pizza out of a frisbee that you could take home with you! Such an awesome idea! After dinner, followed some pretty epic dancing and an awesome and I mean AWESOME toast in the form of an “Under the Sea” parody about Chelsea and Ben made by Chelsea’s sister and maid of honor, Makenzie! The pictures speak for themselves, but I think Chelsea and Ben were pretty surprised! Everyone had so much fun celebrating this beautiful couple all night, even Paul and I put our cameras down (because Ben forced us) and made it onto the dance floor!

Chelsea and Ben, I am so honored and humbled to have been a part of your wedding day. Thank you for trusting me to document your love and thank you for making it so easy! It is so apparent how much you both love and care about one another. Your wedding day was so beautiful from beginning to end – I wish we could do it all over again every weekend!! Congratulations! I’m so happy for you two and I can’t wait to see where married life takes you!! Love you both!

  1. Patti Bellegarde Parker says:

Chelsea from the first time I ever laid eyes on you was when your beautiful mother and handsome dad brought you in for a checkup. Right in front of me was this little angel who had a little gold bracelet on her wrist……well you just melted my heart. I see that time hasn’t changed your beauty, but you face glows with love……he same I saw with your mom and dad. I pray you are blessed with a good life. You, your sister and your mom and dad have always had a special place in my heart. ❤ Nurse Patti
