I don’t often shoot senior portrait sessions, but whenever I get the chance to, I love them! I always have so much fun and love being able to capture such meaningful portraits during such an exciting time in their lives. This Maine senior portrait session was especially awesome because the location was one of my favorite places in the world, Higgins Beach! Higgins is such a picturesque beach and I jump at every opportunity I get to photograph there. Katie is a family friend of one of my best friends from Bates, so being able to capture her senior portraits was such a blast! We waited until sunset on Higgins Beach and had the most gorgeous golden hour light for her senior portraits! We walked the entire length of the beach scoping out all the best spots. First we went up the beach to the rocky end before doing a quick outfit change and heading towards the river. Katie looked gorgeous in both outfits, but I especially loved her yellow dress with the yellow flowers in the background! There’s beautiful tall grass towards the river side of the beach and it made for the perfect backdrop. I had so much fun hanging out with Katie and capturing her personality through these photos.  

Katie’s mom and little sister came with us and helped make sure we captured the best portraits of Katie. They were on outfit and hair patrol to make sure everything was perfect.
