Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think that this little business of mine would take me to the Bahamas! It is such an honor to be a couple’s wedding photographer, but even more so when I’m flown somewhere to do so. The only other wedding I’ve traveled for was Grace and Stephen’s wedding in Georgia 2 years ago, but this was the first time I’ve been flown to another country! When Jessica and Roman asked me to be their photographer for their Bahamas wedding, I’ve literally been counting down the days until 2/29/20! Paul and I decided to fly in to the Bahamas a few days early for a little vacation from the Boston winter, giving us plenty of time to squeeze in a Bahamas engagement session before Jessica and Roman’s wedding day.

Jessica and Roman’s Bahamas engagement session is definitely going down as one of my all-time favs! Of course being in the Bahamas immediately made it unique because literally every direction was a dream for pictures, but also, I grew up with Jessica (her little sister is my best friend – shout out to Jenn!). So seeing her and Roman so happy together and being the one to capture it all (IN THE BAHAMAS) was truly so special and an experience I’ll definitely never forget. Being a wedding photographer, and now a destination and international wedding photographer, is such a joy and an honor. It’s moments like this one that make me have to pinch myself that I’m so lucky to have not only found my dream job, but also that I get to share it with so many people, including the ones I love most!

When we were in the car driving to the engagement session location Jess and Roman picked out, Jess said that she didn’t have much of a plan but thought I could just tell them where to stop the car when I found spots I liked. Less than 5 seconds later, we stopped and could barely make it down the street because I was obsessed with every direction for photos! The beautiful palms, the gorgeous golden hour light, the beach, the incredible blue water, and of course, the happiest couple made my photographer heart melt. 

I have so many favorites from this session that it was hard to narrow down. Make sure you scroll to see one of my favorite pics we took all night! Tip – if you don’t already, you need to find yourself a partner who is willing to rake the beach for the perfect photo while you get to enjoy a cocktail. Roman – you’re the best!
