Normally, this time of year I would be busy gearing up for all of my Spring family and dog sessions. Now that all of the beautiful blooms are finally coming out, this is always one of my favorite times of year for sessions. However, with all of the craziness that is going on and all photoshoots coming to a halt, I’m definitely missing all my families and LDP Dog Pack pups. So for now, I’m just going to reminisce on all of the amazing dogs I’ve already had the privilege of photographing, starting with this little dood! Ripley was one of the last pups I had the chance to photograph before COVID-19 hit and I am just a little bit obsessed with him and his session in the Charlestown Navy Yard!

At the time of this shoot, Ripley was 4 months old and he was such a good boy! Ripley’s an Irish Doodle and his cute eyes and lip curl make my heart melt every time. Ripley was the instagram giveaway winner I ran with my friend Bridget who makes custom paper pet portraits (she’s seriously amazing and you need to go check her out if you don’t already know her!). I met Ripley and his parents in the Charlestown Navy Yard back in February. The Charlestown Navy Yard is one of my favorite spots for dog sessions in Boston because it’s normally not that crowded and the Boston skyline is perfectly lit at golden hour. Looking back at these images makes me wish we could go back to this day! I really miss being able to do one of my favorite things – photographing dogs all over Boston! Here’s to hoping that looking at pictures of this adorably fluffy Irish doodle will brighten your Friday up! I know it has for me!
